Soil : Sand and limestone terraces
Grape varieties : Syrah & Grenache
Winemaking : This is identical to the process undertaken for our other Séguret red, save that this cuvée is matured for 8 to 12 months in small oak barrels.
Tasting : The nose is open and expressive, with aromas of blueberry jam and vanilla notes. The palate is spicy and generous revealing flavours of stewed prunes and cocoa with a hint of mocha on the finish.
Food pairing :
This wine is best appreciated with hearty meat dishes such as fillet steak with tapenade (olive purée) or a roasted rack of pork and sage.
Drink : Within 7 years
Serving temperature : Decant and serve at 19 to 20°C
